Binding Finishes

You know you’re in the home stretch when you’re ready to bind. Here are a few ideas to get you thinking about quilt binding differently:
Rainbow
Dig through your stash and gather a rainbow. This is the perfect opportunity to use the random scrappy binding bits too. Not sure how to start or where to begin, Sew Mariana has a rainbow binding tutorial to brighten your quilt.

Accents
Give a pop of fun and excitement, and create a bit of variation in your binding.

Scrappy
Before you throw your scraps from your quilt top into the box of doom or on to Mt Scrapmore, use it towards binding to create a cohesive look. Alternatively, dig into your scrap box or stash to make your binding.

Chunky Stitch Hand Binding
Add a special touch to your quilt and finish it with some big stitch binding. Here’s a tutorial by Lo and Behold Stitchery on how to achieve this look

Stripe
You can’t go wrong with stripes. For some reason it looks good with anything and everything.
